Encaustic Wax Demonstration with Barbra Bloy
Studio 116, 2-2:40pm. 
Using Encaustic wax on a wood panel is one of my favorite mediums. In this demonstration I will show you some of the basics about how to set up your own work space and the tools and supplies you will need for encaustic. I will also demonstrate how to incorporate found objects into the wax. 
 
Build Your Own Ceramic Tower
Aldo Moroni Studio 113, Noon-3pm
Learn how to build your own ceramic tower in this class. All materials and instruction are included in the $75 class fee. Finished towers are available approximately three weeks after your class date. All ages and skill levels welcome.

Sumi-e Brush Painting Demo with Jim Gregory
Studio 118, 2-3 pm
Jim will demonstrate with sumi-e ink on rice paper some techniques for painting abstracts, painting Ensos, applying chops, grinding ink and loading brushes. There will be opportunities to ask questions and try brush painting. 
 
Facinators open studio workshop with Candy Kuehn 
Studio 212, Noon-1 pm
Candy will demonstrate and will have a table full of supplies,
you’d like to make a fun millinery creation or just watch the demo.
($5 for supplies used)

Ceramic Jewelry Making Workshop
Studio 403, 2-3 pm
This workshop will introduce participants to ceramic jewelry making—no clay experience necessary! After a brief demonstration, participants will make and glaze a few pair of ceramic earrings and/or pendants.
Work will be fired and and ready for pick up within 2-3 weeks following the class.
Registration is by email, drop-ins welcome, if room allows. $45 per person. 
 
Travel Sketching Demo

Stop by and take a look at my travel sketchbooks. 
The oldest one is from the the 1970s in West Africa. Others are from travels to France, the North Shore of Lake Superior, a farmyard in Wisconsin, and my local Mississippi riverfront neighborhood.
