Rubenstein Studio

I’m a visual artist working with oil paint, graphite, watercolor, ink, and acrylic. I consider art-making a tool of adaptability, which helps me survive in the world as a disabled person. My works depict distorted and abstracted portrayals of bodies which are rendered fractured, fragmented, unfinished, or ghost-like. Themes relating to disabled pleasure and survival play out in my work through the use of layered bodily masses, highly saturated color palettes, and exaggerated scale. In addition to selling original works, my offerings include visually bold products with liberatory messages such as high quality art prints, screen-printed apparel, and vinyl stickers. Located on the 2nd in studio 207B Open for California Building's Open Studio events To inquire about a private studio viewing email: RubensteinStudio.connect@gmail.com
